When finished, this multi-use hall was the largest of its kind in Alabama . Built in the same style as a public ballroom, it combines high-tech training with banquet and entertainment opportunities. The ballroom can be subdivided into smaller spaces in a number of different configurations which can be used simultaneously. CDAI’s creative engineering and design services made it possible to provide flexible audiovisual services in each area that are automatically combined for any chosen space configuration.

When opened into one large space, CDAI-designed systems provide for extending the stage into the room for a wide angle view of the entertainment, and for production-related technologies that include projection of live television images, performance lighting, stage rigging and drapery, production communications, production sound and stage monitoring systems. CDAI programmed services also included video recording and origination and a videoconferencing capacities as well as background music in both the ballroom and pre-function spaces. We also provided services that included architectural acoustical design and mechanical noise control.

Since the original Training/Conference Center design was commissioned, CDAI has been contracted to provide design services for additional projects on the Headquarters Buildings and the HealthSouth Digital Hospital.
